Meet our Team

In January I celebrated 11 years with Meridian, it's safe to say it's been emotional! I started my career in financial services back in 2007 with HSBC Group. I managed Retail Finance accounts, sold Secured and Unsecured Personal Loans, Life Insurance, Accident Insurance and Critical Illness Insurance. I was also trained in Collections, and Underwriting. Unfortunately, I was made redundant when the recession hit but took the opportunity to enjoy some time off on garden leave.  

Then I joined Simplyhealth in 2010 looking after Company Employee Benefits: Private Medical Insurance, Cash plan and Dental plans. I learnt a lot in this job, and it really taught me the power of building strong trusted partnerships with my clients, but I found myself wanting more! As much as I loved the products and the people, I felt like I needed to do something else... with no idea what “it” was.  

I was recommended by a friend to come in and have a chat with Meridian. I had no idea this “chat” had become an interview, and to my surprise I was invited back! This time, I was ready for an interview, and not to state the obvious but I was offered a job to specialise in Financial Services due to my background and desire to still be a part of the industry. 

I know it sounds cheesy, but I love making a difference in people lives, client and candidates. Offering someone a job and hearing how happy it makes them will NEVER get old! I genuinely feel like I’m an extension of my clients’ companies, and value the trust and partnerships I have with each and every one of them. 

If I had to describe Meridian in three ways, it would be: Teal, Emotional and Fun! My passions outside of work include spending time with my family and friends, gin, wine, horses and the theatre - I'll let you work out the order of importance...
