Locum Consultant Histopathologist - Gloucester Hospital
Location: Gloucester Hospital
Duration: 3 months (Possible extension)
Hourly Rate: £90.00 per hour

Meridian Business Support is seeking an experienced Locum Consultant Histopathologist to join Gloucester Hospital for an urgent 3-month placement, with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will have a speciality in Breast Pathology and be able to cover at least one other speciality, ideally from Urology, Gynaecology, or Skin.

Key Requirements:
- Speciality Focus: Breast Pathology
- Additional Skills: Ability to work across one other speciality (Urology, Gynaecology, or Skin)
- Experience: Relevant experience in Histopathology
- Hourly Rate: £90.00 per hour
- Accommodation: Provided during the locum period
- Full registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC), or eligibility for registration within six months of the interview.
- On the Specialist Register for Pathology via:
- CCT (with a proposed CCT date within 6 months of the interview)
- CESR or European Community Rights
- FRCPath or equivalent higher degree
- Teaching qualification
- Proven clinical skills in cellular pathology.
- Experience in designing, conducting, and applying audit results.
- Training in evidence-based practice.
- Willing and able to work collaboratively with colleagues in management and other specialities to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and reliable services.
- Familiar with clinical governance.
- Willingness to take on responsibility.
- Awareness of current developments within the NHS.
