Meridian Business Support is currently recruiting for a Deputy Ward Manager within a Mental Health Setting for our client based in Preston.
Are you a dedicated and experienced mental health professional looking to take on a leadership role? We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Ward Manager to oversee our mental health ward. In this crucial position, you will lead a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the mental health ward.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of nurses and healthcare staff.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans for patients.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Oversee patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Promote a positive and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
  • Handle administrative duties, including staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and budgeting.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with current registration.
  • Significant experience in mental health nursing.
  • Proven leadership and management experience.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
