Our Client are looking for an experienced Junior Estimator to join our growing construction team and work on a variety of diverse projects across multiple sectors, including new builds, fit-outs, refurbishment and civils projects.
The Role- Junior Estimator
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, inclusive of in-house bills of quantities for D&B projects, autonomously across varied sectors
• Managing pre-qualification, quality and pre-bid submissions
• Collaborate with the bid team to develop competitive and comprehensive tender submissions
• Conduct thorough cost analysis, ensuring accuracy and completeness of estimates
• Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to embed a relationship culture and obtain competitive quotes and negotiate favourable terms
• Identify and assess potential risks associated with construction projects, proposing effective mitigation strategies
• Identifying opportunities to add value throughout the project process
• Work closely with the Managing Estimator and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with company objectives
• Supporting members of the estimating, surveying and pre-construction team

The Person
Must have 2+ years experience in civils and/or refurbishment works
• Experience with Causeway or similar estimating packages
• Experience in taking off of all building elements essential
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field preferred but not essential
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry best practice
• Experience in pricing projects autonomously – both single and two-stage tenders and negotiated opportunities
• A full UK Drivers License will be required for this position
