As a Maintenance Technician, reporting to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing site. Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting a rigorous programme of planned preventive maintenance for all process machinery and equipment.
  • Performing routine maintenance, fault finding, problem-solving, and minor repairs to minimise downtime.
  • Completing maintenance logs and schedules accurately and promptly.
  • Coordinating with external contractors and ensuring adequate supplies of spare parts.
  • Conducting regular health and safety checks and inspections, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Handling minor mechanical and electrical repairs related to buildings and utilities.
  • Ensuring adherence to quality procedures, such as the calibration of measuring equipment.
  • Communicating process changes and reporting major breakdowns or significant issues to relevant personnel.
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers to clarify technical details and resolve problems.

We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role, with both mechanical and electrical expertise.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician within a manufacturing environment, adept at machinery repairs, fault finding, and problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.
  • Experience with sewing machines, cutting, and pressing machinery is advantageous.
