Registered Mental Health Nurse

Meridian Business Support are delighted to be working with one of the UK's leading providers of behavioural care and specialist support services to recruit for a Registered Mental Health Nurse.

The hospital is a modern mental health treatment unit. The unit includes a variety of facilities, such as three secure gardens, a gym, a hydrotherapy pool, patient practice kitchens, patient social area, art rooms and dedicated support service areas.

The service is currently being developed to provide bespoke treatment packages for a variety of patients with complex mental health needs. The unit will provide a modern, homely environment promoting independence, whilst employing an experienced mutli-disciplinary team to oversee and support patient progress. 

Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Providing high quality care within a locked, specialised mental health rehabilitation and recovery setting. The patient group consists of Personality Disorder, Learning Disability and Enduring Mental Illness
• Engage in continuous quality improvement within your service

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Abilities

• Registered nurse with active NMC PIN with 12 months post qualifying experience
• Relevant clinical experience
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality
• Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practise.
• Excellent verbal , interpersonal and written communication skills

Our shift patterns are;

• Day shifts – 07:30 to 19:45
• Night shifts – 19:30 to 07:45

All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland. Cost of a DBS check will be covered by the employer.
